Tiramisu

Mom was in town. I asked what dessert she me to make. Without hesitation, she said tiramisu. So I had a second shot at this dessert. MUCH better this time around. You don't even know how much better it was the second time because I was too embarrassed of the first one to take a photo!

Mom approved.

Walked to the bank to deposit a check - 2.7 miles in 45 minutes.

Gonna make cake for a very special birthday this weekend.

It's hot outside.

they are resurfacing the road I was on (OK ... I was on the sidewalk adjacent to that road). Smelly, Sticky, Loud. YUCK!

Encouraging verse of the day

1 Cor 15:50-57
"Oh death where is your victory? O death where is your sting?"
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

These verses are very encouraging. We who are in Christ have nothing to fear in death. Christ has conquered death and we will be raised imperishable. We have confidence in our lives eternal in Christ!

Life Lessons from the game of LIFE

Kym and I just played "Life."

Things I learned:

• You get $1000 just for having babies, you don't need to spend anything.
• Divorce isn't an option
• Houses only cost $40,000
• You lose less than you earn in the Stock Market
• Taxes are half my salary
• You move straight ahead in life, may be presented with two different choices, but never any more than that.
• Everyone gets married.
• Everyone has a rich uncle.
